“Descendants of the Arafah, Models of Libyan Women’s Poetry” belongs to the Al-Sidra Global Project, the idea of which Dr. Ishraga Mustafa Hamid initiated and work on through projects inspired by the role of literature in bridging the gap between peoples, creating a space for dialogue with the other with whom we are bound by the unity of destiny, great dreams, and an active contribution to a life worthy of the human being.

This work comes as an expression of my solidarity with active female poets and women with whom I have shared many visions of human experiences and experiences in writing poetic texts, especially in light of the reality that Libya has been experiencing since the so-called Arab Spring.
