Today, as part of the Arts of Banat Mendy, a panel discussion on: The possibility of supporting Sudanese women writers and providing useful information about the possibility of support/grants/sabbatical/translation and publication.

With Ms Harris, Managing Editor of Words Without Borders, and Sarita Ginmani, Managing Editor of Worlds and Words, who is interested in diaspora literature. Moderated by novelist Suzan S Kashif, one of the objectives of this session is to contribute to supporting and strengthening the role of Sudanese writers in social change and to emphasise the need for cooperation, solidarity, networking, partnerships and benefiting from each other’s expertise. The world builds its capacities according to its ability to network.
