Arts of Banat Mendy is honoured to announce: The Queen of Aldar Literary Scholarship ‘For Bread and Roses’ under the theme: Writing as a project for social change.

One of the objectives of the scholarship is to create creative spaces for a new generation of talented and gifted writers and to motivate them through creative workshops that will be implemented in three cities.

The first honorary scholarship will be awarded to a female novelist selected by the MENDI Network in honour of her humanitarian project and to continue writing her new literary project. Another scholarship is awarded to a young woman who is groping her way against marginalisation.

Mendy is pleased that these symbolic grants are the first of their kind in Sudan.
