March 27 Launch of “Only We Can Write Our Stories” Anthology

One of the fruits of the first workshop, Only We Can Write Our Stories, from January 2 to February 14, 2021, to write an autobiography “Non-Exile: a Biography of Women from There” will be launched within the first conference of Mandi Girls Arts on World Theatre Day, March 27, in the framework of a theatrical, singing and plastic art embodiment on the Mandi platform and in the open air in Madani, in coordination with Ebdaa for Family and Child Care, Training and Development.

This workshop was initiated by Banat of Arts Mendy and was in cooperation with Kurdish Women’s Voices, as the Kurdish writer Maria Abbas initiated the question of cooperation. Nine Kurdish women and three Sudanese women from Germany, the Netherlands and Austria participated. Great experiences of great women.

Only We Can Write Our Stories.

We are migrant women.

Thanks to the contributions of Dar Al Reem and Bunyan; thanks to the proofreader Omar Al Saem and the designer, Bakri Khader. Thank you to the participants who allowed me to learn from them and their steadfastness, struggles and feminist consciousness. Arts of Banat Mendy will write in detail about this great project and note that the second workshop started on 20 February with Eritrean, Sudanese and Moroccan migrants from Britain, Australia and France. Amazing women stretching their fingers towards the light. Towards enlightenment, it is our common project.

There are fruits and fruits. The fruit of gaining time for what benefits humanity in its human endeavours. #_Investing_Times_Corona makes collective creative work a garden. A garden of human meanings and belief in the unity of our destinies.
